The influence of Church teachings on early pregnancies among girls

By - - [General]

Most girls are getting pregnant before they get married. By the time they get married they have given birth to more than one child out of wedlock. The CITAM Church teaches that they do not encourage premarital sex as it can lead to unwanted pregnancy among unmarried girls.  Most Churches teach abstinence.  They do not enncourage the use of contraceptives. They teach that sex is a sin and anybody involved  in it should reconcile with God. If a girl becomes pregnant she should accept responsibility because the unborn child is not the sin but the act itself

In some Churches the girl who gets pregnant before she gets married is not to be wedded. A couple planning to wed in Church must confess and apologise to the supposed Church before they get married if the lady becomes pregnant.  The Church however teaches that sexual relations belong only to safe, holy and beautiful sanctuary of a marriage  covenant between one man and one woman
