The Kenyan government introduced competence based curriculum (CBC)in the year 2019.This was prompted by the fact that the then education system 8.4.4 did not meet the Kenyan aspirations of :Kenyan constipation of 2010,Kenya vision 2030,the United Nations sustainable development goals(SDGs) and the Regional and Global conversations to which Kenya is a signitory.The curriculum developers designed a grade3 CBC Environmental activities that will go along way to mould a holistic human figure since it initiates the learner into practicing proper sanitation and safety precautions to limit risks to self,others and the environment.It also assist a Learner to demonstrate values, attitudes and practices for sustainable interactions.a learner shall also apply acquired competences in solving environmental challenges for sustainable development.The learner shall appreciate the country's rich ,diverse environmental resources and cultural heritage for harmonious living.The learner shall communicate environmental friendly messages through technological,verbal and non-verbal modes for conservation, improvement and protection of the environment.This why it's importantly safe that your child must learn CBC environmental grade 3.
