The road towards improving the terms and conditions of service for police and prison service officers has embarked in earnest.

The National Taskforce on Improvement of Terms and Conditions of Service and other Reforms for Members of the National Police Service and Kenya Prisons Service has announced countrywide visits to get proposals on transformation.

“Stakeholders and the public who are not able to submit written memoranda are invited to attend public hearings and give their views,” the secretariat of the taskforce said in a paid advert.

The 20-member taskforce which is chaired by retired Chief Justice David Maraga will divide itself into several teams and tour all 47 counties from 6-17 February.
