After Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Nakuru's Susan Kihika were ousted from Senate Majority Leader and Chief Whip respectively, reports emerged that President Uhuru Kenyatta was considering going for William Ruto allied senators who skipped his State House parliamentary meeting.

Among those being targeted is Senate Deputy Speaker Kithure Kindiki. The purge to get rid of the Deputy President William Ruto's allies in Parliament roared on with Kithure Kindiki and National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale being the latest target.
