A Section Of Youths Allegedly Mobilised To Attend A Political Meeting Cry Foul Over Lack Of Payment
A section of youths drawn from the Counties of Kisii and Nyamira in the Nyanza region are reportedly unhappy with the conveyors of a political meeting held in Nairobi.
The youths have cried foul over lack of payment despite making efforts to attend the said meeting which was held in Nairobi
The youths reportedly felt defrauded after the official promised them generous transport and lunch reimbursements that never materialised. They claim the meeting was organised by their area member of parliament and a vocal female politician based in the city and were even trained to cheer the political bigwig.
They reportedly received just a fraction of what was promised to them by the organizers of the meeting. "We did our job well and I am sure the man was happy, but where is our pay?" an angry youth was quoted by a local publication.
This comes as politicians use all means and ways to get support from various parts of the country and from different age brackets with youths being their targets.
